Forgive me if this isn't the most appropriate forum - I couldn't find a
better one.
Any of you fine people use the Acoustic Energy WiFi radio? I have been
having enormous problems with it and their tech support is useless.
The radio will connect to the net fine and play internet radio.
But it's also supposed to play my mp3's - and here it fails miserably. It
worked for a while, when I scanned for a folder containing a few sample
mp3's. But when I pointed it to my full collection, it couldn't handle the
load and kept restarting when scanning.
Tech Support advised that I need to stream them. So, I've investigated
various software options for a Windows XP box and am using TVersity to
stream. Ole Faithful Wifi Radio can't find the stream. I've checked the
software and it seems to be running fine. I've checked the router and it's
not blocking any port. Yet WiFi Radio just reports that there are no UPNP
sources.
