I recently moved to a new state and am having problems connecting wirelessly with my new ISP. I have never had problems before and have spent the last 2 days going in circles. However, I am able to connect to unsecured wireless box with ease in my building.

When I hover the icon over the Green Bars it reads: Signal strength is excellent, yet shows “Status: Acquiring network address”

I was connected for a short time earlier, but was kicked off when an address was not found and have not been able to get back on my network.

And, I know for a fact that my wireless box is working because my TIVO is able to connect and download data to MY network. I have tried everything, but am at a loss.

Has anyone else had this problem? Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Try to manually assign IP, netmask and gateway and see whether it works..

If not, uninstall and reinstall the wireless adapter (get latest driver if possible), then try again. Make sure the DHCP setting is configured correctly on the wireless router.
