Hello All
I am a newbie to broadband and have just successfully set up a voyager 2110 router using a borrowed wireless-enabled laptop to initialise the ISP connection strictly as per instructions ie an Ethernet connection MUST NOT be used for this initial setting up. I have subsequently connected my desktop PC by ethernet cable to the router and again all is well.

What happens if the router now loses power/is turned off? Will I have to repeat the initial wireless setting up procedure or can the Ethernet connection be used in this situation?

Advice will be appreciated.

David

No, it should be ok as long as you don't do any factory resetting in your router if it has any. All the settings will be stored in the router and will be retrieved next time when it powers on.
