Ive just in between homes at the min and i dont have a landlane i need to hook up to the net to check my emails, how does wifi work, i have a wirless hub on the back on my laptop. Been told about wifi in coffee shops etc but how do i hook up to them and how much does it cost??? Sorry for all the questions

And also can i get wifi from my home rather then going to the coffee shop etc??/

If you can get the wireless in your home already but with the weak signal, you can use the directional antenna and setup the antenna outside your house to receive the wireless signal from the coffee shops,

However the laptop can not work with the antenna directly, so that you might try the USB adapter from WIFI-Link Technologies, which can work with the extranl antenna.

If you order internet from Qwest, Comcast, etc. they'll generally send you a cable modem or DSL model with wifi built into them. Set up is pretty easy, just follow the quick install guide. Then you're online wirelessly.
