I am not a computer wiz by any means. The other day I was connecting to my home wireless network and it was acting slow. I decided to disconnect my computer from the wireless network and then connect again. Normally I do this just by pressing the button on my Hp Pavillion and it does the trick. For some reason, this time, I clicked disconnect from the Wireless Network Connection 2 window and I have not been able to connect to the internet since. I tried looking for a way to get it back but I just can not find how to do this. This is where I need help! I would really love to get back on the internet without being tied down to one spot. Any help would be great. If it helps, I also have a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband router (it is blue)... nothing special since I am just a house mom. Thanks in advance!

Does your router's SSID (name) show up when you choose connect to to see the list of available wifi networks?

If so, what message do you get when you try to connect?

Sounds like some bug that makes the laptop's wifi ignore networks after you've disconnected from them.

You might need to reset your router, or give it a new SSID, so that your laptop won't ignore it.

Sometimes when you bang your head against the wall, the wall breaks first.

Thanks! Just to let everyone know (just in case they run into the same problem), to fix it I changed the server name of my wireless and then unpluged it for a momment and then plugged it back in. It was really simple... thanks for your help!
