Recently, two of my computers on my wireless networks have been
disconnecting from the wireless router everytime they play a game. The
wireless connection goes away after trying WoW, FFXI, AOE3 (single
player!), and even some obscure game like www.plasmapong. It isn't my
phone, since I've changed the channel and everything... I've updated
firmware, reset the router, replaced it, tried different nic cards,
reformatted, .. just about anything I can think of.. and I'm still getting
disconnects when I play games, even games that don't require any internet
connection.. or don't even use one for that matter!
I take it you are using an access point? If so how far away is it from the
P.C's using the network. Are there any electrical devices close by that
could interfere?
