I have brought a wireless router and card because in our house we know have anew computer.

The router needs to be connected to an ethernet port but our main computer doesn't have one (i think it may be too old).

I really don't know what to do as all the broadband stuff is on the main. Any help would be very appreciated.

If xour computer doesn't have a network port, there's not a lot you can do. You will have to find a way of doing that first, either with a network card that oyu cna build into the computer, or possibly a usb-ethernet adapter, if the computer has USB at least.

If you're not afraid to open your PC I would recommend the card, though. (Or a new computer ... new computers are always a good option
