The building I'm in uses a Netgear wireless router/modem which all the machines wirelessly connect to for Internet access.

I'd like to now share folders and printers between two or more machines, but I've tried different combinations of settings - none of which have worked.

I've turned off all security options so I'm just using a bog standard unsecure no frills network. Software firewalls (Zonealarm and Norton) have been disabled where present.

The PC's can see each other as I get a response when pinging but they don't appear in My Network Places or under workgroup computers. All the machines have the same workgroup name of WORKGROUP .

Any suggestions?
