ok so i just had a home wireless network set up. It was working fine until last night when, the three year old got a hold of the cable modem and turned it off. When it was turned back on this moning, I keep getting a message saying it acquiring the network address, and when i go to repair the connection, it gets stuck on renewing your IP address so i just have to cancel it. Please help me, I can connect using the same connection on another lap top, so the problem must be with my Hp pavillion. Any help please be in laymen's terms, because i'm not totally computer savy, directions would be helpful too! thanx

ps. no, i did not change any settings, and my wireless card is fine.
