Thread: Wi-Fi / Belkin Wireless Connection (laptop) Issue.

I got a Dell Inspiron yesterday, and my sister has the same laptop, in a different color.
we're both using wirless connection. I'm absolutely horrible with computer jazz, so bare with me.

I didnt have connection when I woke up in the morning, but she still had internet connection and her laptop was working fine. (we're using the same wireless..) so I checked it and it showed Belkin was available, and I tried to connect and it wouldn't let me, something about the router.

but, I dont understand because my sister and I share the same router and what not..then I tried to see why hers was working and disabled her connection then tried to reconnect it and then hers wouldnt reconnect either. so I dont know whats going on!

Ive been messing around with my settings on my computer. (which I shouldnt cause I know nothing about computers. ) and I wrecked my sisters connection now too!

Help please! what should I do?

Reboot the router as sometimes they crash. (switch it on and off)

Make sure you have the security enabled as well as your neighbors will be able to connect as well

They might have already and kicked you off your own network in which case you need to set the router back to factory settings.
