configuring Belkin 802.11g wireless router

I have a BT WLAN adapter in my Samsung V25 laptop and have bought a Belkin 802.11g adsl wireless router unit. I can't configure the router - I have connectivity between the laptop and the computer, but when I launch Internet Explorer, it cannot find the router's address. I can ping the address and get 100% response, but for some reason the browser cannot access the software on the router. Any ideas? I've spent nearly 2 days on this and been onto the Belkin support people 3 times. The first time they said the unit must be faulty, so I got another one, although I had actually managed to get the laptop to configure the router, but it wouldn't access the internet. Then when I set up my replacement unit it wouldn't access the router at all and that's the way it is now. I have removed Norton Utilities and disabled Norton Antivirus, as I thought it might be a scripting problem. I have a sneaky feeling it's something to do with the way my browser is set up, but I think I've tried everything. HELP!

Do you have proxy script enable in your browser... if so, disable it. I had the same problem and it helps.

I had the same problem than you, and I found the solution. I spent three days doing too many things to access this web interface .

First of all, connect the router to your laptop with a rj45 cable. Then change your network card configurations (the card that is connected to the router through the cable). your ip must be 192.168.2.2, subnet mask 255.255.255.0, gateway 192.168.2.1 and dns 192.168.2.1. Then open your browser settings, disable "automatically detect settings" and disable any proxy configurations. Now open your browser and only type "192.168.2.1". If you have the same trouble than me, your problems should have an end.

Regards,

PS.: Sorry for my bad english.
