Patch - 11/7/06 at 21:26
I've just setup a WAG354G wireless router for my Bulldog (UK) ISP.
However I am having a problem connecting to the internet via the wireless
connection. If I plug ethernet into the router its fine - everything works
as it should (hence I'm able to type this!).
However when I switch to wireless I'm unable to get to external sites - I
can however get to the router itself. In that I have the LAN running (can
ping internal 192.168.x.x addresses) but I can't get to anything
outside/onto the internet.
The real problem is that I've had it working once (last night) but when I
switched users to check my girlfriends login was o.k. it wouldn't work.
Then I switched back to my own profile and it had stopped working.
As I was having problems with the WEP encryption I disabled this and
limited access with MAC address instead. I've now disabled this (hoping my
neighbours haven't noticed!) so my router is wide open.
Router : WAG354g
Firmware : 1.01.03, May 16 2005
DHCP is disabled.
apart from removing all the security features nothing is different to the
way it was last night?
I'm stuck and I know this one isn't obvious but any ideas appreciated.
Cheers.
