Hi, I have a Netgear DG824M wireless router and
this worked well when I had an ADSL connection
in my old house.
I've now moved and I have Cable instead of ADSL
broadband.
Thus, I can only put Cable into my DG824M as
one of the ethernet inputs, not as an ADSL
input.
What I want to do is connect to the Internet
through all the wireless computers I have in my
home. Strangely, some machines pick up a WAN IP
straight away. Others only do after a large number
of reboots of modem, router & PC. The default
is just to connect to the LAN, which doesn't
enable me to connect to the Internet.
Any ideas?

I can see that it's a long time since the
question was asked but just in case anyone else
comes across this and needs the matter cleared up
I can state loudly and clearly NO it will not
work. I phoned Netgear technical support and after
a very long and eventually costly call they said
it wasn't possible.
A bit ridiculous for Brits at least seeing as
the switch between cable and Adsl isn't unheard of.
