Hello,
I currently have a PC (running windows XP) connected via ADSL router, with
a network hub to connect my Xbox to the t'internet. I've bought a Netgear
router (DG834v3) and a wireless card to get shot of the cable between my
phone line and the PC. I'm happy enough to keep the Xbox connecting via a
cable to the netowrk hub and the PC.
I've been trying to install the wireless PC card (Netgear WG311), but not
been having much luck.
As the instructions say I installed the software first, then opened the PC
and installed the card into PCI slot 2. On restarting the machine the Found
New Hardware wizard started, but cannot find the driver software even
though the installation CD is in the CD drive. I contacted the Netgear
helpline last night who were less than helpful. They had no idea and say
that someone will phone me back tonight, but I'm not holding my breath . .
.
I've now also lost my connection to the internet via my ordinary router and
hub.
I'd be really grateful if anyone could give me some pointers.
Thanks
