I have two laptops, one with wifi bult in and the other using a 3com wireless card.

I'd like to connect them for file sharing and sharing my fixed broadband connection, but I'm not sure exactly how to do so.

I've created a wireless network on one PC, which the other can see. I can also get it to hook up, but they do seem to be able to actually transfer any information. It's set as an 'ad hoc network' and everything seems to be working.

Any ideas, tips, pointers or hints would be very much appreciated.
