Here's my situation: I have an existing wireless network running via cisco
340 access points, and maybe some 350's...they are running in access point
mode, not bridge; I have a bldg a good ways away with a small number of
computers in it;I want to use a directional antenna, and point it at the
area where the access points are broadcasting and pull a connection to
where I'm at, and share the network connection within my bldg; both bldgs
are part of my work (I work for a university as a system analyst) and it
seems that if I could establish this, it would save money in the long run
over running new cable in this temporary bldg for 2 or 3 pcs; here's the
catch:I cannot reconfig any cisco equipment...it belongs to the telecom
dept. of campus, and they will not let a lowly sys. analyst touch this
equipment. Is there any way to do this other than using a client card in a
pc and using internet connection sharing?
