i have a problem with my brand new DI-524, i haave broadband internet. here is my scenario

Broadband:
client IP : 10.128.**.*4
subnet: 255.255.255.**
Gateway IP: 10.128.**.*3

DNS:
195.**.**.**
195.**.**.**

do i put these settins in the WAN interface of the router (DI-524)

and put 192.168.0.1 in the LAN inteface of the same router (DI-524)

i go to my laptop connect through wireless with dhcp settings from the router, and i include the DNS.

i cant browse the internet....
i can sussfully loginto the admin interface of the router but can browse the net.

i try the ping functionality in the router, to ping the gateway, no luck Gateway IP: 10.128.**.*3

however if i plug the broadband cable directly to my laptop, there is no prob, i can browse perfectly...

might that be something having to do with crossover and staright cables, (to my knowlegde the router supports both.

ur help is really appreciated

f_m, goto the command line and enter the following & post your results

ipconfig/release
ipconfig/renew

also, leave out the stars, you are hiding useless info. Otherwise, you should check your **** settings, they are probably not setup or running correctly.

first_major, whenever you have ADSL connection problems ring your ISP and demand technical help, the contract you signed and agreed to adhere to would have specified that they will include tech help. Ring them and aske them to take you through it over the phone..
