Thread: Orange Broadband Livebox default homepage hard coded

I see few people annoyed by the fact that the Orange Broadband Livebox software is so proprietary, many are complaining that the default homepage set to blank or to a favourite website has changed to the orange homepage after setting up their new Livebox and Internet Connection. It seems true, there is nowhere in Internet Options one could change the settings.

Anyway, a quick fix to those who are not so savvy with windows (or Mac as it may be the same problem). You can quickly change it in the registry by going to C:\WINDOWS\regedit.exe or whichever Win Version you use, do find / search for the orange website as it appears shadowed in Internet Options or the default homepage you first face when connected, the search will find "Start Page", right click and modify to whatever you want.

I can understand throwing in their homepage as the default for any user, but blatantly making sure no one can change it is so passé'!

Mac I guess maybe the same and the registry modification should be in a directory somewhere.
