Norton has released Norton 360 - it seems to be
a general security software.
The features are all very interesting as far as
I am concerned, even though not all of them
sound like genuine security utilities to me - can
anyone comment on this? I find it a little odd
...

Right on, they are not all security features. Even
though Norton is best known for them, they do
other things occasionally - see Works, e.g.
And now they have done different things and thrown
them together: Namely security, backup and system
configuration (which I think is also part of
Works?)
That way, you only need to buy one program and
can solve several different problems - and if you
have a computer than those are problems you have
or are bound to run into sooner or later.
