I have a wirless router which is connected to a cable modem. i have a pc connected to the router via ethernet, i have a laptop connected to the wireless network via a wirless card. the pc is running on windows xp pro, the laptop on xp home and now im trying to get a windows 98 pc to access the router and use the internet. Installed wireless card on the pc and it finds network etc. cant access the internet though , some kind of ip problem it doesnt assign it an ip address correctly when its left to authomatically obtain one and when i give it an ip, subnet mask and gateway to match my pc and laptop it still doesnt work. i got the ip,subnet and gateway settings from running ipconfig on my other machines. Any ideas?

ok i found out whats wrong, it was my wep encription, i have turned it off and it works, is there any security measures i can use as i dont want to leave my network unprotected.

good news, got wep working, turns out it was 128 bit encryption and on the windows 98 pc it was set at 64 bit. working fine now.
