Hi
I am just a newbie to customized antennas, for wireless networks
But I read many book, and ebooks regarding the subject, and I started to do some
Like the coffee can antenna, “cantenna” , It worked, but I didn’t have to use the n-connector nor to put the n connector an 1.5 inch away from the bottom, I tried it, but when I put it in the middle of the can, it got more signal
Then I tried the hardest level
Which is the dish

First I have questions,
Does the second part HAVE to have another dish pointed to me?
What about if I just want to get free internet and I don’t know the access point owner or whatever how can I do it, and offcourse the access point is far from me, about half a kilometer or something, but I have a clear view of it

Second, how about omni-directional antennas, are they better, how far can they go, if I used the most sophisticated one?

I tried the dish thing, but first I don’t live in the us, so I didn’t use that primestar or directv or whatever, I just used a normal dish, but it was 120 centimeter, so I used a bigger anntena “the lnb” and also used the same cantenna above, which means the nconnector , is connected in the middle of the can

And then, how can I adjust the lnb part? I just used the same measurements of the satt. Lnb will it work? Id didn’t work anyway,
And how can I put the can, in the lnb section, I just have the normal 3 rodes things, I managed to drill from the beginning of the can so it can be placed, and it is placed directly towards the dish, not like the new small dishes, “the one like primestar”

So, how can I manage all of that?
I hope u can all guys help me

Give me advices, and alternatives, everything I know

I think the distance is very lower than that
