I have a Belkin Wireless Access Point connected to my exisisting Switch, I
also have a belkin wireless network card. My computer has picked up the
settings from the wireless access point but is not recieving anything from
it, even though it is sending information to it.
I am puzzled has there is no security measures in place i.e. not keys etc?
Any ideas anybody?

What Operating System, what computers etc..
The more you explain the more chance you have for a solution to be posted
here.
By the way, I added to the title the specific problem you have, most people
when they see "help please" would not respond, they would rather see what
specific problem in the title.

All the machines are Windows XP Home, they are all configured to the same
work group. You can access the Access Point from the computer that is
physically connected to the Access Point via the switch. However you cannot
access the access point from the machine with the wireless access point,
even though you have recieved the settings. The Connection Icon at the
bottom shows the machines to be sending data, however none is being
recieved from the Access Point.
Just to note that i have re set the Access Point to its default factory
seetings, this made little difference. This is my access point 802.11g
Wireless Network Access Point and this is my card 802.11g Wireless Desktop
Network Card.
Any ideas? If you need any more info i am happy to provide. Many Thanks

first ping the AP from via the wireless connection ... if you get a
responce then you at least know they are on the same network ... If you are
using DHCP (the AP assigns ip addresses to the clients) then on the wirless
client computer at the dos prompt type in... ipconfig /all and look to see
what the ip address is. If it is getting its ip from the AP then it should
start with 192.168..... if it is not then windows assigns an ip address by
defult which would start with 169.254....

Ijust posted this. Is it the same problem? Sounds like it...
I have a BT WLAN adapter in my Samsung V25 laptop and have bought a Belkin
802.11g adsl wireless router unit. I can't configure the router - I have
connectivity between the laptop and the computer, but when I launch
Internet Explorer, it cannot find the router's address. I can ping the
address and get 100% response, but for some reason the browser cannot
access the software on the router. Any ideas? I've spent nearly 2 days on
this and been onto the Belkin support people 3 times. The first time they
said the unit must be faulty, so I got another one, although I had actually
managed to get the laptop to configure the router, but it wouldn't access
the internet. Then when I set up my replacement unit it wouldn't access the
router at all and that's the way it is now. I have removed Norton Utilities
and disabled Norton Antivirus, as I thought it might be a scripting
problem. I have a sneaky feeling it's something to do with the way my
browser is set up, but I think I've tried everything. HELP!

sagebrush.. i found the solution for your trouble
I had the same problem than you. I spent three days doing too many things
to access this web interface .
First of all, connect the router to your laptop with a rj45 cable. Then
change your network card configurations (the card that is connected to the
router through the cable). your ip must be 192.168.2.2, subnet mask
255.255.255.0, gateway 192.168.2.1 and dns 192.168.2.1. Then open your
browser settings, disable "automatically detect settings" and disable any
proxy configurations. Now open your browser and only type "192.168.2.1". If
you have the same trouble than me, your problems should have an end.
Regards,
PS.: Sorry for my bad english.
