Hi,
We recently got a new router. There are 3
computers on the network that work fine. My laptop,
however, drops from the network approximately every
10 minutes without fail (almost to the second,
actually). About half the time, the network key
gets "erased" from the wireless connection properties
and I have to enter it again. Also, most of
the time when it's connected, it won't show that
it is connected (when highlighted in the wireless
network connections dialogue, it gives me the option
to 'connect' instead of disconnect. I know this is
the only network I am connected to). Also, when
it's not connected, I have the option to
disconnect (but I'm already disconnected?) It's a
frustrating process of entering the network key again
every time it drops, then "disconnecting" because
that's the only option I have, then connecting
again. Sometimes this takes a few tries. Selecting
"repair" doesn't help.
I know very little about wireless connections, but
does anyone know what I can do to help?

Also, when the network key gets deleted, its
because the box "detect network key automatically" is
checking itself.

Hi Embean!
I am writing because I have been looking for a
solution on exactly the same problem for absolutely
ages and you are the 1st person I could find
having the same wireless melarchy. If you have
found a solution for the problem or you know
what triggered it, please let me know, otherwise I
think we could help each other to resolve this
issue if we shared info on what APs and wireless
cards, etc we are using.
Please let me know what the status of your
problem is and then we can agree on how to go
on from here.
Thanks,
Attish
