I know, it's definitely not the first time this question is posted
somewhere on the web, but i can't fix the problem; my laptop cannot stay
connected longer than a few minutes. Two other laptops and one pc are
working perfectly over the same wireless network, so don't blame the
microwave .
Some symptoms are worth mentioning i guess.
- When the connection drops, trying to reset it (Status window / Support
tab) ends at getting a new IP address. It should be assigned by DHCP.
- Setting up a new home/office network always fixes the problem. An
Internet gateway is shown in the Network connections window. This lasts
until the connection is lost again, a few minutes later.
Laptop: Windows XP Prof w/ SP2, ATMEL WLAN 802.11b PCMCIA card
Access Point: Edimax EW-7205AP (connected to router)
Don't know if more info is needed.. Please help me!
