Win2K & Linksys WPC11 2.5

Hello all,

I have Win2K & Linksys WPC11 2.5 Wireless Card in my Laptop. When I first installed the wirless card the Linksys Utility was working and running in the task bar. It is the program that lets you see the signal power & to change the SSID.

One day I turned on the laptop and the Linksys Utility did not load. The wireless was still working but Win2K had taken control of the SSID and WEP setting. I have reinstalled the drivers for the card and it still will not load the Linksys Utility. Is there a way to make Win2K let the Linksys run the card? Or am I screwed? I like to see the signal power.

Thanks

hi mike

you can try three things for it:

1. utility is not been getting loaded in our computer because some files are captured in the windows registry.... try to delete the registry files for particaular card...

2. try to reset the router so that it becomes to default factor settings... so that the ssid becomes to linksys & wep will be disabled...

3. try to upload the utility form linksys.com if cd is not responding...

best of luck,.... it will definitely solve the problem...
