I am very new to wireless networking and wish to create an in room network of 8 laptops using one laptop as a print server.
This set up will be taken to various venues for teaching purposes.
Can this be achieved using wireless cards using the adhoc principle, I believe it is called or do I need an access point.
Any information from anyone who has a similar setup would be appreciated.
Thank you

The link on the left main menu for Help & FAQ may be of help, in particular this link www.wi-fitechnology.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=FAQ&file=index& amp;myfaq=yes&id_cat=27&categories=Setting+it+all+up&parent_id= 7 .
Wi-Fi Radios or cards are discussed there.
Anyone is welcome for more feedback!

I would use an AP for this. More efficent communication. Plus some AP'hhs have print servers built in. Check out the new linksys home/office AP.
