Hey everyone,
Can anyone recommend some good hotpots directories for
the UK? At the moment I'm using:
bCentral's Wi-Fi directory
- www.hotspotter.co.uk/]Hotspotter
Can anyone recommend any others?
Thanks,
John.

The Wi-Fi Hotspots Directory (
www.wi-fihotspotsdirectory.com/> www.wi-fihotspotsdirectory.com/ )
is owned and operated by the Wi-Fi Technology
Forum.
It is now one of the largest directories in the
world, but because it is relatively new, it'll
take a little time for search engines to recommend
it in the top rank. It has a lot of wi-fi
hotspots in the UK |

Hi Festprint,
Ok, thanks a lot. Looks good - just a shame I
don't seem to be able to search by postcode
in the UK . Is this a feature that's planned? |

The search function is for searching by whatever
you like, if by postcode, well, try typing SW1,
you'll get all the London and area for SW1.
the trick is the first 3 letters / digits of
the post code would do. We did it that way
instead of having too many choices and boxes and
what have you, one box does the lot, just like
other search engines!
Try it!! |

| Ahhh.. now I see how it works. I was putting
my complete postcode and it wasn't returning any
results - but as soon as I just searched on
the first part of my postcode I got some
results. It's useful, but to be honest, not ideal
- assuming that if I search for SW11 it would
only bring back hotspots in SW11, and not SW10
or SW12. Is that right? |

ehmm, if I search for SW11 it would only
bring back hotspots in SW11, and not SW10 or
SW12 of course! for sw12, try SW1 to get all
SW1xxxx. SW7, to get all SW7xxxx. |
