I have got my linksys WAG354G, when I switch on the router and PC,I can not connect to the internet, unless I have to access the web page of the router and under status tab, I have to click the botton connect .

Does this what suppose to be ? Or is there an option let the router to pick up the ip address and DNS form the ISP automatically ?

Have a look and see if you have got Keep Alive selected.
This is on the first setup page.

There is a Keep Alive option - for people who pay a monthly charge
and a On Demand option for people who use pay-as-you-go.

If you have the On Demand option set, then you have to connect manually.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Mark.
