Ok, i have a Netgear MR814v2 router. I have 2 desktops with Netgear MA311
cards and a Laptop with a Netgear MA521 card. All three are running
Windows XP. When i go to www.2wire.com and do a speed test with one of the
desktops and the laptop i get 2Mbps. But with the other desktop I only get
280kbps. I dont believe its a signal problem because it usually has 90%
Signal strength and 90-100% link quality. I uninstalled it and reinstalled,
updated drivers, moved the computer closer to the router. The only thing i
haven't tried is swapping the cards in the desktop because my roommate
thinks i will mess up his computer somehow(I'll just wait till he goes to
work). Does anybody know what the problem might be? Do i just need to get a
new NIC?
