Hi eveyone, i have been trying to research for info on the net but am
totally confused!
I was going to install a multi room music system in my new house. My
original plan was to use a dedicated hard drive PC system to store all my
music. I was then going to wire speakers to 4 of the rooms. (I was going to
wire because it is as handy when building a new bungalow). I plan the
speakers to be flush ceiling speakers.
My problem is i want to control the system wirelessly. I want a fully
graphical remote control with a color lcd screen where i can view my
playlists exactly like windows media player or something. Could i use a pda
or something to do this?
My questions are: (!) 1. Do i use a pc or a dedicated hi-fi hard drive
sytem?
2. I assume i will need an amp or
something to connect between the speakers and the hard drive?
3. Is it ok to use wired speakers? I see
lots of stuff about wifi connecting pc up to a stand alone stereo system,
but not just to speakers
You will no doubt have grasped by now that i know nothing about this!
So i am planning a system, which is controlled wirelessly, but the actual
music can be wired to speakers.
