Please excuse my lack of knowledge of WI-Fi before i begin!

I have recently p urchased a NEC LT 260 projector! It has wireless capabilities!

I want to set it up with my laptop in a wirless network.

I have bought 2 * 3com 11g wireless PC Cards!

Is it possible to get the cards to communicate or it is necessarary to have a medium in between i.e. a gateway?

Apologies again for the simplicity of my question, but i've spent ages searching on the net for some simple FAQ's

Any help would be gratly appreciated

Hi,
I am not familiar with the projector but assuming it works like a windows 98/xp PC then you should be able to set them up to talk in Ad-Hoc mode (Infrastructure mode uses an access point/gateway). Set up the laptop first to get a feel for configuring the card and client RF settings.
