Agreement Covers Roaming Client, Soft Access Point, and Analyzer.

August 18 2003 /Wi-Fi Technology News/- PCTEL, Inc. (NASDAQ:PCTI), a leading provider of wireless solutions and access technology, and YDI Wireless, Inc. (OTCBB:YDIW), a leading developer and supplier of broadband wireless solutions, announced YDI will begin to distribute PCTEL's Segue? products. Under the arrangement, YDI will have distribution rights to PCTEL's Soft Access Point Module (Segue? SAM) and the Segue? Analyzer. YDI will also have rights to private label PCTEL's Segue? products. Further, YDI will make the Segue? Roaming Client available with 802.11 client devices. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Dallas, Texas August 6, 2003 ? The U.S. hot-spot service market will exceed revenues of $800 million by 2007, according to Public Hot Spots: Moving beyond Road Warriors, the latest report from Parks Associates. Based on consumer surveys and interviews with service providers, Parks Associates estimates the 2003 service revenues for hot spots will be $105 million. The compound annual growth rate (CAGR) between 2003 and 2007 is approximately 50%.

Separating Truth from Myths in the Market for Public Hot Spots

July 29, 2003, Dallas, TX ? While consumer awareness of hot spots has reached a fairly high mark, the market for these services has not grown beyond today?s business travelers, according to Public Hot Spots: One Truth and Two Myths, a new white paper released by Parks Associates.

This white paper offers consumer perspectives on public Wi-Fi hot spots, gathered from a recent consumer survey conducted by Parks Associates and included in the new report Public Hot Spots: Moving beyond Road Warriors. The survey asked Internet households about their usage history and interest in hot spots, as well as their work-related travel habits, and found that 90 percent of the people interested in using hot-spot services travel nationally for professional purposes.

Aggressive Pricing and Effective Promotions Boosted PC Sales in the Spanish Market in 2Q03, says IDC


LONDON, July 25, 2003 ? According to IDC, PC shipments grew by 31.5% in Spain in the second quarter of the year thanks to aggressive pricing and effective marketing actions implemented by vendors. Moderate growth in desktop sales, at 15.1%, highly contrasted with what is continuing to be a booming notebook market, which grew by 75.2%, driven primarily by healthy consumer demand. This is the fourth quarter sequentially that the Spanish market has beaten its annual growth rate for PC sales.
