(Nasdaq: NTGR), a worldwide provider of technologically advanced, branded networking products, today announced that David Soares will assume the position of vice president of Europe, Middle East and Asia (EMEA) sales. Mr. Soares’ tenure with NETGEAR spans more than five years, serving the last three years as managing director of Europe. His primary focus in his new role will be to increase the company’s international market share in both home and small-and medium-size business networking while leveraging his expertise with retailers, direct marketers, and value-added resellers.

Avaya Completes Purchase of Expanets from Northwestern Corporation

BASKING RIDGE, N.J. , US /The Wi-Fi Technology Forum/- Avaya Inc. (NYSE:AV) a leading global provider of communications solutions and services for businesses, today announced it has completed the acquisition of substantially all of the assets of Expanets, the nation's largest provider of converged communications for mid-sized businesses, from NorthWestern Corporation. Expanets is also one of the largest resellers of Avaya's products in the United States. The acquisition will allow Avaya to continue providing quality sales and service support for Expanets' customers' and grow its small and mid-sized business.

Vodafone to increase stake in Vodafone-Panafon

Rudi Schmidleithner named President of Acer Pan American Operations

SAN JOSE, Calif., (November 24, 2003) /The Wi-Fi Technology Forum/- Acer America Corporation, one of the leading worldwide suppliers of PC solutions, today announced the appointment of Rudi Schmidleithner as president of Acer Pan America operations. Mr. Schmidleithner, who will be responsible for operations with both Acer America and Acer Latin America, was previously the Business Unit manager of Region 2 for Acer notebook products in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).
Acer Europe’s Region 2 includes Germany, Benelux, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Austria, Switzerland, Russia, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Poland. Acer EMEA has been extremely successful over the past several years and will finish 2003 with over $2 billion in sales and a #2 position in notebook market share. Mr. Schmidleithner will report directly to Gianfranco Lanci, president of Acer International Operations Business Group.

Nearly 1000 Schools Apply for Program; Success of
Wireless Offer Demonstrates Desire of Education to Go “Mobile”

SAN JOSE, Calif., (November 21, 2003) /The Wi-Fi Technology Forum/- Acer America Corporation, one of the leading worldwide suppliers of PC solutions, today announced that, due to the overwhelming response to the “Wi-Fi 101” initiative, a random lottery will be held in December to select the schools that will receive free wireless access points and installation. Acer originally announced that “Wi-Fi 101” would include up to 120 schools selected to participate in this program. Due to the volume of responses received, it was determined that the only fair way to select the recipients was through a blind draw.
