Rudi Schmidleithner named President of Acer Pan American Operations
SAN JOSE, Calif., (November 24, 2003) /Wi-Fi Technology News/- Acer America Corporation, one of the leading worldwide suppliers of PC solutions, today announced the appointment of Rudi Schmidleithner as president of Acer Pan America operations. Mr. Schmidleithner, who will be responsible for operations with both Acer America and Acer Latin America, was previously the Business Unit manager of Region 2 for Acer notebook products in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).
Acer Europe?s Region 2 includes Germany, Benelux, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Austria, Switzerland, Russia, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Poland. Acer EMEA has been extremely successful over the past several years and will finish 2003 with over $2 billion in sales and a #2 position in notebook market share. Mr. Schmidleithner will report directly to Gianfranco Lanci, president of Acer International Operations Business Group.
