Enterasys Networks Opens Regional Technology Center in Shanghai; Expands Presence in China

ANDOVER, MA-- October 24, 2003--Enterasys Networks Inc. (NYSE: ETS), a global provider of Business-Driven NetworksTM for enterprise customers, today announced that it has opened a new Regional Technology Center (RTC) in Shanghai to service partners and customers throughout China.

The new RTC will provide solution and product demonstrations, training, partner and customer briefings, and will serve as the main Chinese office for Enterasys local sales and technical personnel. Enterasys has seven other RTCs, including New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Irvine and Menlo Park (California), and Reston, Virginia. In addition, the Company has local demonstration centers in Newbury, England; Frankfurt, Germany; Sao Paulo, Brazil and Mexico City, Mexico.

SUNNYVALE, Calif., October 21, 2003 -- Proxim Corporation (Nasdaq: PROX), a global leader in wireless networking equipment for Wi-Fi and broadband wireless, today announced financial results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 26, 2003. Total revenue for the third quarter of 2003 was $35.1 million, compared to total revenue of $24.1 million for the third quarter of 2002. Total revenue for the nine months ended September 26, 2003 was $109.9 million, which included license revenues of $6 million, compared to total revenue of $94.7 million for the nine months ended September 27, 2002. The 2002 financial results include: the results of the former Western Multiplex Corporation for the period from January 1, 2002 to September 27, 2002, the results of the former Proxim, Inc. from March 27, 2002 to September 27, 2002, and the results of the former Agere Wireless LAN Systems business from August 6, 2002 to September 27, 2002, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) for accounting for business combinations.

IBM Announces CDN $720-Million Services Agreement With TD Bank Financial Group To Manage 40,000 PC?s And Network Infrastructure


ARMONK, NY, October 16, 2003 -- IBM announced today that it has signed a seven-year agreement with TD Bank Financial Group worth approximately CDN $720-million to manage the bank's desktop and network technology infrastructure.

Under the agreement, IBM will provide the desktop and network related services for more than 40,000 personal computers within TD Bank Financial Group and over 1,200 TD Canada Trust Branches.
