Starbucks Corporation (Nasdaq:SBUX) today announced revenues and earnings for its fiscal third quarter ended June 29, 2003.
For the 13 weeks ended June 29, 2003, consolidated net revenues increased 24 percent to $1.0 billion from $835 million for the same period in fiscal 2002. Net earnings for the 13-week period ended June 29, 2003 increased 23 percent to $68.4 million from $55.7 million for the same period in fiscal 2002. Diluted earnings per share were $0.17 for the 13-week period ended June 29, 2003, compared to $0.14 for the comparable period in fiscal 2002.

Intersil Corporation (NASDAQ: ISIL), a world leader in the design and manufacture of high performance analog and wireless networking solutions, announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its Wireless Networking Product Group to GlobespanVirata, Inc. (NASDAQ: GSPN). The sale price is approximately $365 million and will be paid in cash and stock. Intersil anticipates finalizing the sale prior to the end of the third quarter of 2003 and expects to report a one-time gain on the transaction.
CUPERTINO, California?July 16, 2003?Apple? today announced financial results for its fiscal 2003 third quarter ended June 28, 2003. For the quarter, the Company posted a net profit of $19 million, or $.05 per diluted share. These results compare to a net profit of $32 million, or $.09 per diluted share, in the year-ago quarter. Revenues for the quarter were $1.545 billion, up 8 percent from the year-ago quarter and up 5 percent sequentially, and gross margins were 27.7 percent, up from 27.4 percent in the year-ago quarter. International sales accounted for 39 percent of the quarter?s revenues.

Second-quarter net income was $896 million, down 2 percent sequentially and up 101 percent year-over-year. Earnings per share were $0.14, flat sequentially and up 100 percent from $0.07 in the second quarter of 2002.
