Intel plans $41m investment in India centre

"Intel is putting its resources where its revenues are,'' says its President and CFO, Paul Otellini, indicating that India is a potentially large market for the company.

India was firmly on Intel's market map, as is the entire Asia-Pacific region, which showed extraordinary growth and contributed significantly to the company's revenues, Otellini said. "I see that trend continuing,'' he said. "Non-American markets contribute more to Intel's revenues than the North American markets,'' he said.

Acquisition of New IP Telephony Technology to Usher in New Business Communications Era

SARASOTA, Fla., June 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Comdial Corporation (BULLETIN BOARD: CMDZ) , a leading provider of traditional and IP Telephony solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises, announced today that it is acquiring most of the assets of Silicon Valley- based Soundpipe Inc. in exchange for 250,000 shares of Comdial common stock and cash. Soundpipe is engaged in the design and licensing of next generation voice communications solutions. Comdial intends to integrate Soundpipe technology into its third generation IP Telephony products and distribute these products through its national channel partner network. The Soundpipe team will continue to work out of the former Soundpipe offices in Santa Clara, California.
