Cisco Posts Strongest Wireless LAN Hardware Quarter Yet



LONDON, UK, -/August 24, 2004 - The Wi-Fi Technology Forum/-Worldwide wireless LAN hardware revenue reached $719.5 million in 2Q04, up 3% from 1Q04, and will grow 9% to $786.2 million by 2Q05, according to Infonetics Research's quarterly market share service, Wireless LAN APs, Switches, and NICs.

Verizon Wireless To Purchase NextWave Spectrum In New York



BEDMINSTER, NJ -/July 9, 2004 - The Wi-Fi Technology Forum/- Verizon Wireless announced that it has won the spectrum license for the New York metropolitan area auctioned by NextWave Telecom Inc. yesterday. Under the terms of the purchase agreement, Verizon Wireless will pay $930 million for the license.

ntl and EADS Cogent Join Forces in Firelink Bid
