Government Should Not Approve $7 Billion Give-Away to Nextel, said Verizon

Cingular Wireless in $41 billion deal to acquire AT&T Wireless approved

Intel expects revenue to be between $8.5 billion and $8.7 billion

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Dec. 4, 2003 /The Wi-Fi Technology Forum/- Intel Corporation today provided a scheduled update to the company's Business Outlook for the fourth quarter, which ends Dec. 27.

Intel expects revenue to be between $8.5 billion and $8.7 billion, as compared to the previous range of $8.1 billion to $8.7 billion. The gross margin percentage is expected to be 62 percent, plus or minus a point, as compared to the previous expectation of 60 percent, plus or minus a couple of points. The company's Intel Architecture business is experiencing solid seasonal growth while demand for communications products remains on track with the company's expectations for the quarter.

The U.S. Army has selected Dell to provide hardware, software and services for its Information Technology Enterprise Solutions (ITES) procurement contract.

Dell was one of four vendors awarded the contract. The maximum value for each individual contract is $500 million, which represents the combined maximum value for the contract, known as ITES Functional Area-1 for Enterprise Hardware Solutions. The Army will award ITES Functional Area-2 for Enterprise Mission Support Services Solutions at a later date.
