Company to Join Cisco Client Extension Program to Enhance Interoperability

BOULDER, Colo., June 25 /The Wi-Fi Technology Forum/ -- SpectraLink Corporation (Nasdaq: SLNK), an industry pioneer in enterprise wireless communications, today announced the deployment of SpectraLink's newly released NetLink e340 and NetLink i640 Wireless Telephones at one of the Netherlands' largest and most respected hospitals, Medical Center Leeuwarden. The healthcare provider selected SpectraLink's wireless LAN-based solution to safely and securely interoperate with its network of Cisco Aironet(R) Series of Wi-Fi access points throughout its facility. SpectraLink is also joining the Cisco Compatible Extensions program to offer integrated wireless connectivity, standards-based security support, and interoperability between NetLink Wireless Telephones and Cisco Aironet wireless LANs.

Access/One Network Eliminates Ethernet Cabling, Eases Wireless Network Configuration

Strix Systems, Inc. today announced Access/One Network, the first complete wireless local area network system. Unlike traditional wireless LAN solutions, which require wired Ethernet at every access point, the Access/One Network uses a wireless Ethernet backhaul. In addition, while traditional wireless LAN solutions are difficult to plan, the Access/One Network automatically configures itself, adapting to changes without requiring human intervention. The Access/One Network serves all wireless devices using 802.11 a/b/g, Bluetooth, or future RF technologies simultaneously on a single enterprise network.

The new IBM 11a/b/g Wireless CardBus Adapter provides secure wireless connectivity with maximum flexibility and performance for portable PCs. This 32-bit CardBus adapter is based on three Wireless LAN (WLAN) standards: IEEE 802.11a, 802.11g, and 802.11b. It offers data rates up to 54 Mbps (1) in both 2.4 GHz (2) and 5 GHz bands. IBM said it will be re;eased on July 18, 2003.
