the 3COM 8750 WAP with Dual Radio configuration is the best unit for the dollar at around 500 buchs a pop. It has a 300 foot coverage radius and fully supports WPA

Dudes:

The BEST way to BOOST the signal is to get BIGGER ANTENNAS. So Buy a D-LINK, Senao, Netgear, or other models where they have DETACHABLE antennas ... menaing the rubber ducky antenna screws out.

Then buy a BIGGER antenna from any ONLINE source (make sure you're careful getting the correct connector on the wire) and aim them at each other.

You can also buy Boosters and amplifiers - they cost money and the amplifiers can induce NOISE (bad thing) if not used correctly. The easiest newbie solution is the D-LINK Booster as it is actually a mated amplifier that connects in-line with the regular AP/router to boost signal. By In-Line, I mean the GOZOUTA of the AP/Router is connected directly to the GOZINTA of the booster and PRESTO you get a few hundred milli-amps more power for longer range/higher throughput.
