Hi
Can somebody help a mac user with a Windows XP problem?

On Friday night I set up a Linksys WRT54GS Wireless Router with a Comcast connection. It was hooked up via a Dell desktop and I followed the Wizard that came with the Router. Everything went well and the Dell (which is running Windows 2000) is working fine. My Apple Powerbook 12 is seeing the wireless network just fine and connecting successfully as well.

The problem is a Gateway M320X Notebook which is running XP Service Pack 2. When I got to 'View Wireless Network' area in XP it is not displaying the wireless network. FYI the network has no encryption enabled as I wanted to keep things simple. I have downloaded all the XP updates available and restarted the notebook after each update but it is still not seeing the network.

The router is set to broadcast a 'mixed' signal. I have tried it on 'B-Only', 'G-Only' and I have tried switching channels but I'm just getting nowehere. I can't believe this is so difficult but as I said, I am a mac user.

Can anybody help please?
