A Newbie's Guide to Wireless Networks

A Newbie's Guide to Wireless Networks

from

The course is an online audio flash presentation by WKMN

At first glance, we though the usual singing praises that you often see on various sites about a product or service they do sell were "Typical" sales pitch, from which you also often have to subtract the usual hype from the resulting reality. However, After acquiring our registration pass and sent one of our staff to investigate, she came back mesmerized and with a grin on her face, well that said it all.

Although she did have one or two cons, almost all were pros. We did not stop there, we had the rest of the gang logging on to WKMN's course:
(http://www.wkmn.com/newsite/newbie.html) and curiously playing the flash presentation over and over again, it was really light hearted and funny that for a newbie in wi-fi and wireless networking is a must. It does communicate information in a soothing manner, with very clear language and an incredible interaction. Although some of the jargon may appear overwhelming, it is nonetheless targeted at newbies in wireless but not to newbies in computing .

The only cons we might have had was the price which is $60.00 for 6 months license, but on second thought, the course seem to have been prepared with the highest presentation standards, hundreds of hours of flash programming and web design must have been spent preparing it, and of course the course itself, a wealth of breadth taking knowledge, full of question and answers and exercises, it warrants forgiveness when you compare it with its low standard counterparts. They do have discounts to various eligible organizations though.
It is in our judgment a course that one can recommend without hesitation to any teacher/lecturer in computing IT or IS.

Ben

Update: We have received feedback from WKMN and secured a 20% discount of the $60.00 cost of the course to any WFTF member, so give it ago!
