Firstly, hello to all the forum users ! I've just arrived here after being reduced to a quivering wreck after several hourse of fighting with a US Robotics Wireless Turbo Acces Point and Router 8054 and a USR PCI card. Sadly, they seems to be winning.

Here is the problem.

My prior setup was Cablecom router --> Cablecom. Cablecom router to PC network card direct connect.

Now I plugged the WAN network cable into the USR8054 router. In the PC I have a USR PCI card. They talk to each other fine. I can access the router via tha PCI card and a browser ( 192.168.123.254) and configure it. I have configured it to be a DHCP Client to cablecom ( I think) and a DHCP server to my PCs ( One laptop and one PC)

I cannot get the router to see anything on the outside world .. It will not ping an external IP address... nor will it seeem to go off to cablecom and get an IP from them.

Any help would be much more than welcome.

Regards
Graham from sunny Zurich
