Hi there,
I recieve signal from my university WLAN in my
house but only right near the window. I'd like
to extend the range using a repeater but I
don't know whether this would work. The way we
sign in to the WLAN is over a webpage. The
computer finds the signal, then I open the
browser and the WLAN redirects the browser to an
online WLAN login. I enter my username and
password and then it forwards me to my homepage.
I don't know any of the router settings or
anything, nor do I have permission from the uni
to do this. I am a student, so I'm entitled
to use the WLAN. I just wondered how a
repeater works and whether I'd be able to extend
the WLAN without knowing anything other than the
network name?
