Hi,
I've just fitted a WUSB54G adapter to access my home wireless network. which presently consists of a host desk top and a laptop, all working perfectly. The Linksys is for a second desk-top machine.

Originally, the adapter failed to connect, and continually searched for an IP address. I had no recourse but to contact Linksys, who basically told me the problem was with my WPA security connection, and advised to use WEP. As this is less secure, and the adapter is supposed to support WPA, I have no wish to follow their advice.

Entering the IP address manually in the Internet Protocol TCP/IP page, I at least am showing a connection in the View Wireless Networks page, but with no home network SSID shown. The connection lasts only for a few seconds, then disconnection takes place, after which the cycle repeats. This is continuous and I'm never able to connect to the internet. It seems I'm connecting to the network but not out to the internet.

The security key has been entered properly and is correct, but I'm getting nowhere fast. Can anyone help ??

Ron
