Product Review Summary: Most of the information can already be found in the user's manual

This book reiterates a lot of information already can be found in the user's manual and it's bigger so it's not as easy to carry around as the user's manual. I feel cheated. If you can find a copy at the library, check them out first and see if you want to buy them. I guess it makes a good replacement manual if you lost yours. One benefit of this guide is that it defines some of the terminology better, but if you are just looking for definitions, you can find them on wikipedia. Reading this book doesn't help you shoot better photos. The user's manual that comes with the camera is good enough to help you identify the buttons and various functions. You won't find any secrets or anything in this book.

Product Review Summary: Nice book!

I learned alot more of my 7D after using it almost two years! Good quality!

Product Review Summary: More Excellence!

This volume, from Photograghers Institute Press (PIP) is a tremendous resource. It gets you right into the workings and magic of the legendary Konica-Minolta Maxxum 7D...known oversea's as the Dynax 7D.

Very well illustrated and a lively, fun read. Keep your camera with you and follow along and things will make perfect sense.

Chris Weston deserves praise and does justice to this superb camera...as mentioned now something of a legend.

Also mentioned is my thought of combining this book with Magic Lanterns equally fine volume on the Maxxum / Dynax 7D. They are similar in facts yet differ in delivery and presentation and (I feel) compliment each other wonderfully.

Sony has now picked up the Konica-Minolta line, as of 1-April -2006. Their new design, based on the Maxxum / Dynax 9D is now on the market. Yet Tens of thousands of loyal Konica- Minolta followers will be happy to know Sony has not foresaken the K-M Divison...they have, in fact, incorperated them into Sony and the partnership can only be fruitful.

Long live the Maxxum / Dynax 7D!
