Product Review Summary: Uniden HS910 Headset Review I bought this as a replacement for the original that came with my Uniden phone (dog ate it). This one works just as well as the original. I have been using it for a month now, working from home and spending half the day on conference calls. No issues with comfort or durability. The construction looks a little flimsy, but nothing has gone wrong with it yet. I just keep it away from my dog now! It's definitely not a high-end headset but it's a great headset for the price and it does the job.
Product Review Summary: very satisfied customer Great style. Great comfort. Great sound. So convenient and makes my multi-tasking even more easy and fun. I get a lot down these days and I can talk at the same time. No juggling! Whoooa!
Product Review Summary: Garbage. Connector designed to break at tip This is the worst headset I have ever owned. I bought so many of them over the years I don't remember anymore how many went bad. At least 10. The reason I keep buying them is because all other manufacturer headsets don't work well with a Uniden cordless phone. Uniden requires a specific impedance, otherwise voice quality is not good.
Calling Uniden is worthless. They are of no help.
I actually think they design the tip of the connector to break because each one has stopped working properly where the wire connects to the 2.5mm plug.
I'm not buying anymore Uniden phones or headsets.
Product Review Summary: Great to be hands free Headset is comfortable and works well. I can still get things done around the house while talking on the phone and this is a great help. Only drawback is that microphone is mounted on plastic mouth piece and this limits adjustability for the distance from mouth to microphone.
Product Review Summary: Poor Construction/Quality Uniden makes great phones but why they would make such a cheap headset that doesn't cost cheap is beyond me...unless they want consumers to keep buying them over and over again each time it breaks. The head strap broke within a few months of using it. Super glued it together which removed the adjustability but didn't have a choice unless I wanted to buy another one. That fix lasted about 4 months until the head strap broke into more pieces. I glued it back together for the second time and then wrapped the broken/weak area very carefully in string and imbedded the string with super glue. Figured that would make it last for a very long time...but unfortunately 2 weeks after that the earphone/speaker went dead.
While it worked it was fairly comfortable and definitely a HUGE advantage over holding the phone. Aside from being able to do things hands free...it eliminated the stress caused in your shoulder and arm from holding a phone for more then 10 minutes as well (as any headset or ear piece should do). Kids said that it didn't look very appealing wrapped around my head though, especially in comparison to a small cell phone ear piece. Luckily I only use it at home otherwise it might be somewhat embarrassing to wear in front of other people or at work.
Now that the headset is completely broken I will not get another one because of the poor construction unless I was prepared to buy them on a regular basis which I'm not. I will look around for either a headset whose construction is much better or an ear piece instead where I won't even have to worry about a head strap.
