Product Review Summary: Helps All I can say is it helps boost your signal. The amount of improvement all depends on what kind of antenna you already have. I had a decent antenna already, and this just gave me that small boost I needed to stay connected.

Product Review Summary: Simple and easy to use This wireless antenna works very well and it was simple to install. I simply unscrewed the antenna on my wireless nic card and screwed the antenna connector in. My only problem was that the cord connecting the antenna to the nic is too short. It needs to have a few feet of cord.
Product Review Summary: Hawking Hi-Gain antenna not as advertised I bought this antenna hoping that it would improve signal strength as they advertised 6dB on the box. The performance was worse than the original 2dB antenna that came with my wireless adapter. Back it goes.
Product Review Summary: Hawking Hi-Gain is really a No-Gain I would have to agree with the majority of assessment of this product on Amazon: this product fails on every count.
1. Most significantly, product does not perform as described. Signal strength not "significantly improved." In fact, no change in reception at all. I have used this in my one-story home and in a café I work at with no effect whatsoever.
