Users Product Reviews:

Product Review Summary: Works great!

We ordered this item when we got a new Sony Blu-ray player. We already have a Moxi DVR which has to be connected to the internet so when we got the blu-ray player which has Netflix, BD Live and several other features that need internet connection we got the Trendnet 5-port ethernet switch so we could hook up both devices and have several ports still left for use if we add anything else. We have had the Trendnet for about a month and it works great! Arrived quick, hook up was very easy, excellent price compared to most others. It is plastic, but good thick plastic. It is bright blue, be better if it was black, but I have it mounted on the back of the TV so no one sees it anyway. I recommend it for quality and price.

Product Review Summary: Worked right out of the box

I have fiber-based TV, which translates the fiber into Ethernet at a telco-provided switch when it enters the house. A single Ethernet cable goes to the TV, but I've since added a web-enabled Blu Ray player. Bought this switch to split the Ethernet to connect to both the TV and Blu Ray player. Plugged everything in, and it worked just fine. And the price is definitely right. No info on reliability yet -- just got it.

Product Review Summary: Connects all my home theatre gadgets

Perfect little unit and easy to set up. Just plug it in. I've connected a Sony Bravia KDL-52W5100 television, Panasonic DMP-BD60 Blu-ray player, and Asus O!Play media player. I didn't have an ethernet outlet near my home theatre system so I used a ASUS WL-330gE Multi- Functional Wireless Access Point (also a simple little gadget). So thanks to this switch (and the wireless access point), my entire home theatre system has wireless connectivity for firmware updates, network access, and Internet content.

Product Review Summary: Hardwired My TiVo

I bought this adapter to connect my TiVo Series 2 to my home network. It works right out of the box - plugged it into the back of the TiVo, re-ran setup and it connected perfectly. I can now transfer videos faster than the old wireless connection. Product seems pretty sturdy and works fine.

Product Review Summary: limited use

Caution: Replacing an existing Ethernet switch with this box resulted in the isolation of all downstream Windows 7 boxes as their security then reacted as if they had moved to unsecured networks.

Works fine on mixed XP and XBOX applications and is a very inexpensive solution to adding branches on a wired home network as long as no Windows 7 is involved.
